Recruiting Volunteers
Volunteers can bring experience, skills, and ideas to a school garden. Consider inviting volunteers from your local community to help with your school garden project. Create a positive experience for volunteers by being organized and prepared, having specific tasks for volunteers to work on, having enough of the proper tools available (or request beforehand for volunteers to bring specific tools), having water available, and being sure to send thank you notes. The following is a list of groups to consider when looking for garden volunteers.
