Grades K-3 (Kit)
Peanuts are not often grown in Utah. Your students may not be familiar with what peanut plants looks like when growing in the ground. This plant was dug up in a farm in south Georgia and delivered to our office still intact. Students can examine the leaves and root structure. The peanut plant is in a plastic tub, but it is fragile. We recommend that you do not remove the plant from the tub, just examine it. The kit also comes with the big book, Peanut Butter. This item is in high demand. Make sure that you plan ahead so that there is plenty of time to get it out to you. View the photograph link below to get a better idea of what the plant looks like in the tub.
